Japan's largest brokerage firms have begun efforts to create investment funds based on cryptocurrency assets for private investors, as reported by Zamin.uz.

Leading financial institutions in the country, such as SBI Securities and Rakuten Securities, are simultaneously working on developing their new financial products. At the same time, influential organizations like Nomura have expressed interest in this sector and plan to establish their market presence once the relevant legal framework is fully established.

These developments are being widely covered by influential financial publications. In particular, SBI Securities aims to launch investment funds focused on highly liquid digital assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum through its branch network.

Rakuten Securities, leveraging modern technology, is preparing convenient tools that will allow clients to trade directly via smartphone applications. Such steps are expected to significantly simplify access to the digital market for Japanese investors.

Currently, to acquire digital assets, investors must open accounts on specialized cryptocurrency exchanges or manage complex digital wallets. The newly forming investment funds will eliminate these technical barriers.

Investors will be able to participate in the cryptocurrency market through their existing securities accounts. This system opens a safe and understandable path for investment, even for ordinary citizens.

The Japanese Financial Services Agency plans to review relevant legal documents by 2028 to regulate this sector. Under the anticipated changes, cryptocurrency assets could be included in the list of instruments eligible for inclusion in investment fund portfolios.

Additionally, the government is thoroughly examining the possibility of permitting exchange-traded funds based on cryptocurrencies. Such initiatives will support the development of Japan's financial market in line with modern demands.
