Polymarket platform has launched new prediction markets tied to the future performance of private companies, Zamin.uz reports.

This development allows users to forecast and trade on significant events in the lives of major companies whose shares are not yet publicly traded. According to experts, this step will significantly enhance transparency in the pricing process in data-scarce private markets.

This is reported by international financial publications. The new service was developed in close collaboration with the Nasdaq Private Market structure and is designed to facilitate bilateral trading of private company shares.

As part of the partnership, Nasdaq Private Market provides a reliable database and market infrastructure necessary for contracts. These markets reflect investment fundraising stages, changes in company valuation, and other significant corporate events related to startups.

This move expands the scope of activity on the Polymarket platform. While the platform previously focused on political and macroeconomic events, it is now becoming an attractive arena for users interested in financial topics as well.

Currently, there are approximately 1,600 large private companies worldwide with a valuation exceeding $1 billion, and their combined value surpasses $5 trillion—indicating vast potential for prediction markets.

Market specialists emphasize that the usefulness and systematic operation of prediction markets are gradually increasing. Although the majority of trading volume currently comes from casual retail traders, improving regulatory environments in major countries such as the United States are boosting interest from professional investors as well.

As market infrastructure develops, this trend is expected to become more widespread and evolve into a significant instrument in the financial world.
