Vitalik Buterin responded to criticisms directed at the Ethereum Foundation

Vitalik Buterin, one of the founders of the Ethereum project, recently expressed an open stance regarding the criticisms being reported about the activities of the Ethereum Foundation. Zamin.uz reported on this.
Many users and investors accuse the foundation of not attempting to raise the price of the digital asset and not paying sufficient attention to marketing efforts. However, Buterin firmly emphasized that the organization's primary task is not to deal with market conjunctures, but to maintain the neutrality and independence of the network.
According to Buterin, the Ethereum Foundation will continue to focus its primary attention on censorship resistance, the development of open-source software, long-term scientific research, and cybersecurity issues. He explained that the foundation's goal is not to compete with other high-speed blockchains, but to preserve the decentralized nature of the system.
These statements were announced during a complex period when large investors are selling their assets and personnel turnover is occurring within the organization. Currently, the price of Ethereum has dropped significantly from its historical all-time highs.
Despite this, Buterin noted that the foundation holds a very small portion of the total assets, namely only zero point sixteen percent. For comparison, in other large projects, this figure can range from ten to fifty percent.
This indicates that the Ethereum Foundation does not have absolute control over the network and its ability to influence the market is limited. At the same time, experts attribute the decrease in network earnings to the technical updates implemented last year.
Although these changes reduced transaction costs, they had a negative impact on the main network revenues. Buterin announced that in the future, the foundation will save funds to finance scientific research and reduce the volume of asset sales from its reserves.
These steps are aimed at ensuring the long-term stability of the project.
