The president adopted a new program to develop tourism.

A two-year program for the development of tourism infrastructure in the regions has been adopted. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
It provides for the construction of new tourism facilities and hotels, as well as the extensive use of local products in them, said President's press secretary Sherzod Asadov. Under the program, 34 major tourism facilities and more than a thousand accommodation units are planned to be commissioned.
Of these, 200 will be hotels. In the Kumushkon resort tourism complex, which is expected to open soon in Parkent district, 98 percent of the materials used in construction are local products.
In other hotels being commissioned in the regions, it was instructed to the heads of the regions to increase the share of local construction materials to at least 95 percent. For this purpose, the task has been set to increase, by the end of next year, the volume of hotel construction and the production of products used in their finishing.
Specifically, the production of lumber products is to be increased from 119,000 to 150,000 tons, and sanitary products from 1.5 million to 2 million units. In addition, the production of PVC pipes and fittings is to be increased from 255,000 to 300,000 tons, wallpaper from 6 million to 7.5 million rolls, and decorative panels from 15 million to 18 million square meters.
