Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover reached $32.8 billion in five months

New data on Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover indicators have been announced. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the report provided by the Statistics Agency, the country’s total foreign trade turnover amounted to $32.8 billion during January–May 2026. This figure indicates a 3.7% increase compared to the same period last year.
This indicator reflects the dynamic development of economic relations. According to analytical data, the export volume in the first five months of the current year reached $12.6 billion.
This is 15.5% lower than last year’s figure. At the same time, import activities have significantly intensified.
The value of imported goods and services reached $20.1 billion, an increase of 20.8% compared to the previous year. It should be noted that, excluding gold exports, merchandise trade amounted to $6.5 billion.
This is 29.4% higher than the same period last year, confirming the diversification of the country’s export potential. During the reporting period, Uzbekistan established mutually beneficial trade relations with 185 countries worldwide.
Among the key partner countries in foreign trade turnover, China leads, accounting for 23.4% of the total trade turnover.
Russia follows with 17.6%, Kazakhstan with 6.9%, Turkey with 3.7%, and Afghanistan with 2.8%. These figures indicate that Uzbekistan’s position in regional and global markets is strengthening.
