More than 132,000 air conditioners were imported into Uzbekistan in five months
According to the latest data provided by the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, there has been a noticeable increase in demand for cooling systems in the country. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

In particular, during the first five months of 2026, air conditioners worth approximately twenty million US dollars were imported into the country. According to the figures, a total of 132,691 units of such equipment were imported between January and May.

Compared to the same period last year, this indicator shows that the volume of goods entering the country is steadily increasing. More precisely, this year’s figure is 13,700 units higher than that of the corresponding period last year.

In percentage terms, the import volume has increased by 11.5 percent compared to last year. This situation indicates a high demand for household appliances, particularly cooling devices for homes and offices, in the domestic market.

When analyzing the structural composition of foreign trade turnover, it is clearly evident that the People’s Republic of China remains the main supplier country. Of the total goods imported over the five months, 128,021 units were specifically from China.

The remaining share was distributed among other neighboring and foreign countries. For example, during the reporting period, 4,644 units were imported from Kazakhstan, 17 units from Turkey, and 9 units from other countries around the world.

In conclusion, it can be said that China remains the main partner of Uzbekistan in foreign economic relations regarding air conditioner imports, while the share of other countries in this market remains relatively small.

Such growth rates in the consumer market may not only be linked to the improvement of the population’s living standards but also to changes in climatic conditions. It is expected that the demand for such equipment will continue to remain in the coming months.
