Recently, there have been reports on social media, particularly on the Telegram channel "Islam Kaparzo," about the forced dismissal of an employee who worked for 34 years in the Tashkent metro. This was reported by Upl.uz.
In response to this situation, the Tashkent metro provided an official statement. According to the metro, the number of cashiers is gradually decreasing as part of the modernization and development of electronic payment systems.
This situation is leading to the optimization of the workforce and the reduction of cashier operator positions. According to labor legislation, employees being laid off are given a two-month notice period and additional compensations are paid.
Employees have the right to terminate their employment contract at their own request and receive all compensations. In a specific case, Svetlana Vladimirovna Vidrix was offered the above conditions at a working group meeting held on July 15, and she is currently continuing to work in a senior operator position.
Additionally, considering that she has only six months left until her retirement, it was suggested by the trade union to consider options for transferring her to another suitable position within the metro system. The administration of the Tashkent metro emphasizes that the information provided on the "Islam Kaparzo" Telegram channel is one-sided and incomplete, stating that the spread of this incorrect information negatively affects the company's reputation and causes unfounded concerns and misunderstandings among employees.
For this reason, Tashkent metro officials call on the authors and administrators of the Telegram channel to verify the information and refer to official comments. It is also reminded that there are provisions in the Administrative Responsibility Code and the Criminal Code for distributing false information.
