According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a citizen was detained in connection with the illegal circulation of psychotropic drugs. This was reported by Upl.uz.
On July 21 of this year, law enforcement officers conducted an operational event based on the information received. During this event, a man born in 1998 was apprehended in the Yangihayot district of Tashkent city.
A paper package was found under his control, which contained 1,574 units of the potent "Zardeks" drug. The total value of the identified drugs amounted to 141 million soums.
To justify himself, the individual claimed that this package had been lying on a bench where he had previously sat and that he had no information about the origin of the drugs. Investigative actions are underway regarding this case.
This individual may face criminal liability under the article of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding the "Manufacture, distribution, promotion, or illegal circulation of non-narcotic potent substances."
