
The employees of the railway border customs post "Keles" in Tashkent city, along with the employees of the anti-smuggling department of the city customs administration, identified and stopped an attempt to illegally import goods. This was reported by Upl.uz.
Based on preliminary operational information, a passenger of an international train arriving from the Russian Federation was subjected to additional inspection. During the inspection process, it was revealed that the man attempted to smuggle a total of 112 items of goods, hiding them from customs control.
Among these goods were electric water heaters, welding equipment, and meat grinders. The total value of the identified goods amounted to 105 million soums.
Relevant documents were formalized regarding this case, and investigative actions are ongoing. This situation demonstrates the effectiveness of customs control and confirms the results of efforts being made to combat illegal activities.
