Based on the obtained operational information, a 42-year-old local resident was detained by the internal affairs officers in Samarkand city. He stopped his car near the intersection of Registon and Daxbed streets.
Then, his Lacetti brand car was thoroughly inspected in the presence of witnesses. 34 grams of a substance resembling hashish was found in the car's interior.
This individual had previously been suspected of distributing drugs, and the evidence collected confirmed his guilt. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 273, part five of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
