
The press service of the Supreme Court has published statistical data on certain indicators for the first six months of this year. This was reported by Upl.uz.
It was noted that during this period, it was found that the courts of Uzbekistan had identified numerous cases where preliminary investigation bodies had unjustly involved citizens as accused persons in criminal cases. In total, 7,757 such individuals were identified, and the accusations brought against them were confirmed to be unfounded in court proceedings.
When the documents submitted by the preliminary investigation bodies were reviewed by the courts, the unfounded nature of the accusations became clearly evident. Additionally, in the first half of this year, 204 individuals were fully acquitted in Uzbekistan, and they were granted the right to rehabilitation.
The innocence of these individuals was proven during the court proceedings. These cases demonstrate the effective functioning of the judicial system and the efforts being made to protect the rights of citizens.
