The governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, signed a decision banning migrants from engaging in taxi services within the city. This was reported by Upl.uz.
This restriction will be in effect until the end of this year. Companies employing foreign citizens on a patent basis were given a three-month adaptation period.
During this period, they must terminate all labor relations with them. Representatives of the authorities plan to assess the social and economic impact of this measure on city life.
Based on the results, the issue of extending or lifting this restriction will be considered in 2026. This decision aims to improve the city's infrastructure and the well-being of its residents.
It was also adopted to regulate the legal labor market. It is important for all individuals and companies operating in the taxi sector to comply with the new rules.
