The press service of the Andijan regional internal affairs department commented on the information spread on social networks. This was reported by Upl.uz.
Reports circulated on social networks about a citizen suspected of kidnapping children in the Andijan region being detained. However, it has been determined that this case is not related to child abduction, and the information disseminated is false.
According to the internal affairs department, on July 31 at approximately 15:40, a citizen living in the "Chuzha" neighborhood of the Shahrixon district called the short number "102" to report that an unknown woman had entered the house. An inspector was sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, the officers found that the unknown woman was suffering from a mental illness and was born in 1986, residing in the "Buston" neighborhood of the Shahrixon district. This citizen has been under medical supervision since 2019.
On the same day, the woman was sent to the Andijan regional psycho-neurological dispensary for treatment. Any other information disseminated regarding this case is considered incorrect and unreliable.
The internal affairs department requests the public to rely only on official sources.
