A criminal case has been opened for illegal gas consumption

The press service of the Department under the Prosecutor General's Office reported that a case of illegal use of natural gas has been identified. This was reported by Upl.uz.

As a result of the preliminary inspection conducted by the employees of the Uchko‘prik district administration, it was found that R.K., the head of a previously convicted public catering point, had illegally connected the kitchen of MChJ to the gas supply.

He illegally consumed natural gas for commercial purposes. As a result, the damage caused to the gas supply organization was estimated at 1 billion 600 million soums.

A criminal case has been initiated under the theft article of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding this case. Currently, investigative actions are ongoing.

The offender may face a sentence of up to 15 years of imprisonment.
