The trial regarding the kidnapping of a five-year-old girl and the theft of her gold jewelry in the Andijan district of Andijan region has concluded. This was reported by Upl.uz.
The person found guilty by the court was sentenced to five years of imprisonment. According to the court case, the incident occurred on April 29 in the Ayrilish village.
The accused lured the children with an offer of ice cream and took them several kilometers away from their homes on a bicycle. Then, he frightened the girls with a false story about "spiders in their ears" and took gold earrings worth more than two million soums.
During the trial, the accused expressed remorse for his actions. He said: "If something like this happened to my daughter, I would never forgive it.
I understand what the parents of these girls must be going through. I did not realize what I was doing.
I am very ashamed." The accused was found guilty under Article 169 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (theft) and was sentenced to five years in prison.
