
A police officer in the Fergana region managed to rescue a girl who had fallen into the Great Fergana Canal. This was reported by Upl.uz.
The regional police department's press service announced this. The incident occurred on August 6, 2025.
A citizen named Kodirov, living in the Navbahor neighborhood, called the emergency number 102 to report that a girl was drowning in the canal flowing through the Khujakishlok neighborhood of the Kuştepa district. Following this, Captain Odiljon Ahmadov, a preventive inspector from the district police department, immediately arrived at the scene.
Captain Ahmadov and a witness to the incident together pulled the 17-year-old girl out of the water. First aid was provided to the girl, and she was handed over to the emergency medical staff.
The girl is currently hospitalized, and her life is not in danger. This case once again proved that the prompt and skilled actions of police officers can save human lives.
