Starting from September 1, 2025, a number of changes aimed at simplifying labor processes and increasing the effectiveness of control will come into effect. This was reported by Upl.uz.
The press service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan provided this information. The process of formalizing labor relations will be simplified for small business entities, namely companies operating in the service, agriculture, and construction sectors with up to 50 employees.
From the specified date, they will have the opportunity to conclude and terminate labor contracts electronically using biometric identification (Face-ID) through a unified national labor system. Additionally, starting from September 1, 2025, new regulations will also be introduced regarding inspections conducted by state labor inspectors.
In particular, the requirement to notify the authorized body in advance before inspections conducted by state labor inspectors will be abolished. Furthermore, the procedure for notifying business entities at least 10 working days in advance for inspections conducted based on the "risk-analysis" system will not apply to inspections by state labor inspectors.
Moreover, starting from January 1, 2026, an automated system for reviewing violations of labor legislation will be implemented. An electronic administrative decision will be made based on the data recorded in the unified national labor system without the participation of the employer.
These changes will serve to manage legal relations in the labor sphere more effectively and transparently.
