
Joint rapid operations were conducted by the special services of Uzbekistan and Russia, reports the press service of the National Security Committee. This was reported by Upl.uz.
As a result of these operations, 9 members of an international terrorist organization were detained by the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation and the National Security Committee of Uzbekistan. 7 of them were detained in Moscow, while 2 were detained in the Kashkadarya region.
It was reported that these individuals were recruited by the international terrorist organization through online conferences, and these events were organized for training purposes. All individuals were members of groups on Telegram, where extremist and terrorist ideas were disseminated.
The National Security Committee noted that those detained in Uzbekistan were born in 1961 and 1994. From them, 4 mobile phones, 3 copies of prohibited literature, 2 flash drives, and 1 SIM card from a foreign mobile operator were confiscated.
These operations are an effective result of cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
