A city bus driver in Tashkent was dismissed due to an incident involving a passenger. This was reported by Upl.uz.
According to the information from Toshshaharttransxizmat company, the driver closed the doors prematurely after a person got off at the stop, trapping the person's hand in the door. The video released by the company shows that the doors unexpectedly closed while the passenger was trying to exit.
The video also captures a disagreement between the driver and the man. The driver admitted his fault on camera, explaining that it happened because he did not see the person getting off.
As a result of the service investigation, it was determined that the employee not only violated safety rules but also behaved rudely towards the passenger. Accordingly, the management of the bus fleet decided to terminate his employment contract.
To prevent such incidents in the future, additional training sessions will be organized for the remaining employees. Earlier reports indicated that since the beginning of the year, nearly 4,100 cases of traveling on public transport without a ticket have been recorded in Tashkent.
This highlights the need to strengthen control over public transport. Such violations are subject to administrative liability under Article 144 (traveling without a ticket) for passengers and Article 145 (transporting goods without a ticket) for drivers.
