The press service of the Internal Affairs Department of Kashkadarya region provided an official comment regarding a video that spread widely on social media and confirmed the case of assault. This was reported by Upl.uz.
The incident occurred on July 24, 2025, at approximately 22:30. A woman reported to the emergency number 102 that she had been beaten.
As a result of the investigation, it was found that the victim was a woman living with a man without official marriage, and when she came to the man's mother's house, she was attacked by his official wife and relatives. The woman was assaulted, stripped, and left on the street.
An investigation was conducted regarding the incident, and the victim was sent for medical examination; the severity of the injuries is being determined. A criminal case has been initiated under part 1 of article 277 ("Hooliganism") of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding this incident.
The perpetrator may face a penalty of up to three years of imprisonment.
