Famous Uzbek actor and stuntman Yulchi Ortikov passed away at the age of 51. This was reported by Upl.uz.
He was widely known for playing the lead role in the cultural film "Tog‘lik kuyov". According to Daryo.uz, it is suspected that his death was caused by a heart attack.
The film "Tog‘lik kuyov" was released 26 years ago and, despite initial doubts, became one of the most popular films of that time. Director Mashrab Kimsanov met Ortikov during the filming in Kazakhstan.
He recalls that Yulchi performed the fire scene very naturally and skillfully. Actor Adolat Kimsanova shared interesting memories about the filming that took place in Oktas village.
Due to Ortikov's large physique, the team struggled to find a strong and fast horse that would suit him. As a result, they had to use a regular village horse, but he refused to stand still as required by the scene, and the scene was shot multiple times.
The death of Yulchi Ortikov is a great loss for Uzbek cinema. His contribution to the film industry, especially as a stuntman and actor, will always be remembered by fans.
