The diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan provided assistance to R., a citizen of Samarkand who had been living in Saudi Arabia for many years. This was reported by Upl.uz.
Immediate help was given to G. in a case of domestic violence. As a result of the prompt actions of the diplomatic representatives, the woman was successfully returned to her homeland, reports the Dunyo news agency.
According to Saudi Arabian legislation, foreign citizens require a special exit visa to leave the country, and women must obtain official consent from their husbands. To resolve this issue, Uzbek diplomatic representatives held negotiations with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia and other responsible organizations.
According to R. G., her husband, a foreign citizen, was arrested and placed in a temporary detention facility.
During the investigation, the man was compelled to grant his wife an exit visa, not to obstruct her return to Uzbekistan, and not to persecute her later. After obtaining the necessary documents, R.
G. was issued an exit visa. The diplomatic representatives took all measures to ensure the woman’s safe departure from Saudi Arabia and her trouble-free arrival in Tashkent via a transit flight from Sharjah.
The victim expressed deep gratitude to the diplomats, the government, and leadership of Uzbekistan, emphasizing that their assistance saved her life. Within the framework of the state policy to support compatriots and the “Return to Homeland” campaign, Uzbeks in distant and difficult situations are gaining new opportunities and hope.
