Measures have been taken against a person who seriously violated traffic rules, reports the press service of the Main Directorate of Traffic Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This was reported by Upl.uz.
A video circulated on social networks showing the driver of a "KIA Sonet" in Nurobod district deliberately moving towards workers carrying out road repair works. They were conducting repairs on the roadway, and the road was closed for vehicle traffic.
Regarding this incident, an administrative report was drawn up against the driver under the "Road hooliganism" article of the Administrative Liability Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The court imposed a fine of 25 base calculation units (10,300,000 soums) on the driver and revoked his driving license for two years.
The driver and his passenger stated that they acted this way because they were in a hurry in an attempt to justify themselves. However, their explanations were not accepted.
Thus, strict measures are being taken against individuals who violate traffic rules.
