According to the press service of the Fergana region Internal Affairs Department, a group involved in organizing gambling in the city of Kokand was identified and its activities were stopped. This was reported by Upl.uz.
During a special rapid operation conducted by law enforcement officers, it was found that gambling was organized in a house in the "Degrezlik" neighborhood. The investigation revealed that dice games were held in this house.
A total of ten people participated in the game, and there was also one spectator. In each game round, bets ranged from 5,000 to 10,000 soms.
During the operation, a total of 4 million 128 thousand soms in cash was seized as material evidence. Investigative actions are ongoing regarding this case.
For the crime of organizing and conducting gambling, according to the relevant article of the Criminal Code, the organizer may face imprisonment for up to seven years.
