
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the detention of an Uzbek citizen who was wanted internationally. This was reported by Upl.uz.
According to the information, a citizen wanted internationally by Interpol was detained at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov. This person was hiding in Bangkok to avoid responsibility for a large-scale fraud crime.
However, thanks to the efforts of the regional Interpol department and the Tashkent city Interpol division, he was apprehended and extradited to Uzbekistan. Soon, the investigation into the fraud case will resume.
After the investigation is completed, the case will be sent to court and a lawful decision will be made. This event is the result of effective work in internal security and international cooperation.
