
The press service of the Andijan regional customs department has reported that an attempt to illegally export foreign currency has been stopped. This was reported by Upl.uz.
In Andijan region, at the border customs post located on the border with Kyrgyzstan, additional inspection was conducted on a male individual who was about to leave the territory of Uzbekistan. During the inspection, it was revealed that this person is a citizen of Kyrgyzstan and attempted to illegally export 687,500 Russian rubles and 200,000 Kyrgyz soms in order to evade customs control.
Preliminary investigation actions are being carried out regarding this case. After the investigation is completed, the actions of this foreign citizen will be legally evaluated.
The customs authority reminds citizens that the amount of foreign currency that can be taken out of the territory of Uzbekistan must not exceed 100 million soms.
