
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service, more than 707 thousand traffic violations were recorded from July 15 to August 15. This was reported by Upl.uz.
Due to various violations, over 85 thousand vehicles were taken to impound lots. Additionally, explanatory work was carried out with more than 153 thousand citizens who left their cars, bicycles, and even carts unattended.
Within the framework of a comprehensive program to improve road infrastructure and enhance safety, the following measures were implemented: 18,700 road signs and 270 new traffic lights were installed. Lines were drawn over an area of 772 thousand square meters for road markings, significantly improving visibility conditions.
580 raised pedestrian crossings were established, ensuring safer pedestrian movement. 7,100 traffic lights were repaired, ensuring uninterrupted signal operation at intersections.
Illegal barriers and prohibitory signs were removed from 18 streets, restoring free movement of traffic. As a result of these comprehensive measures, the number of road traffic accidents decreased by 41.3 percent compared to the previous month.
This demonstrates the effectiveness of efforts aimed at strengthening control and improving road conditions.
