
According to the press service of the Bukhara regional internal affairs department, a drug laboratory organized by several citizens was identified and seized. Upl.uz reported on this.
According to the obtained operational information, the internal affairs officers of Bukhara region uncovered a drug laboratory located in Namangan region. It was found that three citizens living on Namangan street were engaged in the production of synthetic drugs in a teahouse building in the Yangikurgan district.
A total of 7.14 kilograms of mephedrone drugs were seized from their laboratory. In addition, more than 3 liters of liquid and over 100 grams of solid mephedrone were found and confiscated from a person living in the "Vodiy" neighborhood of the same district, who was the organizer of the criminal group.
The total value of the seized drugs amounted to 13 billion soums. A criminal case was initiated under Article 273, Part 4 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan — "Illegal production, purchase, storage, and other actions related to narcotic drugs, as well as their sale."
The participants in the crime may face imprisonment from 10 to 15 years. The investigation is ongoing.
