According to the press service, employees of the State Security Service have apprehended fraudsters. This was reported by Upl.uz.
In a special rapid operation conducted in cooperation with the State Security Service and the Prosecutor General's Office department, the office manager of a limited liability company engaged in designing construction projects and a realtor born in 1990 were detained. They had received an advance payment of 200 thousand US dollars.
It was revealed that the fraudsters promised to sell a 50 sotix land plot located in the Mirzo Ulugbek district to a citizen for four million dollars. Additionally, for 100 thousand dollars, they promised to obtain the necessary documents for building a cottage and for another 100 thousand dollars, to arrange the registration of the land plot in the buyer's name through their high-ranking acquaintances.
However, it was established that the land plot did not belong to the fraudsters. A criminal case has been initiated under the articles of fraud and bribery of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding this incident.
They may face up to ten years of imprisonment. Currently, other accomplices of the detained individuals are being identified.
