Employees of the 6th emergency medical aid unit located in the Yunusobod district of Tashkent city have taken the initiative to draw public attention to the condition of their workplace. This was reported by Upl.uz.
Initially, information about this was shared on the "Yunusobodliklar 24" Telegram channel. Medical staff asked for help from the local residents.
This building houses ambulance brigades, and according to the employees, its condition is unsatisfactory and very poor. This creates difficulties in providing services.
To solve the problem, the department team decided to use the "Open Budget" portal. This platform is designed to support citizens' initiatives.
A proposal to completely reconstruct the building was posted on the site. Now its future depends on the results of public voting.
Medical staff are urging citizens to vote for the initiative. If the project gathers enough votes and wins, funds will be allocated by the government for the capital repair and modernization of the building.
This will compel the relevant authorities to include the repair works in their financing plans. As a result, the working conditions of the ambulance service in one of the capital's major districts will improve.
The "Open Budget" portal is part of a large-scale reform being implemented in Uzbekistan to increase transparency in the budget process and involve citizens in local budget allocation. Winning projects on the site are directly financed, bypassing many bureaucratic stages.
