
From January to June 2025, 9,738 pairs of twin babies were born in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Upl.uz.
These data were provided by the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The leading region in twin birth rates is Samarkand region, where 1,197 pairs of twins were born during this period.
Additionally, Fergana region with 1,172 pairs and Kashkadarya region with 1,054 pairs ranked in the top three. The lowest twin birth rates were recorded in Navoi region with 233 pairs and Syrdarya region with 258 pairs.
The number of twins by region is as follows: Samarkand region – 1,197 pairs, Fergana region – 1,172 pairs, Kashkadarya region – 1,054 pairs, Andijan region – 883 pairs, Surkhandarya region – 856 pairs, Namangan region – 778 pairs, Tashkent city – 730 pairs, Tashkent region – 686 pairs, Khorezm region – 544 pairs, Bukhara region – 486 pairs, Karakalpakstan – 451 pairs, Jizzakh region – 410 pairs, Syrdarya region – 258 pairs, Navoi region – 233 pairs. These data clearly show the distribution of the number of twin babies across regions in Uzbekistan.
By analyzing birth rates, it is possible to study the demographic situation in the regions more deeply.
