
A large tourism complex worth 140 billion soums is planned to be built in Surxondaryo region. This was reported by Upl.uz.
This project will be implemented near the South Surxondaryo water reservoir. The total area of the new recreational zone will be 15.7 hectares.
According to the regional administration, special attention has been paid to environmental protection in the project development. The plan includes creating extensive green areas and building infrastructure based on all ecological requirements.
Within the complex, special zones for walking, pontoons designed for boats, fountains, and other recreational and entertainment facilities will be constructed. This project was presented to the regional leader Ulug‘bek Qosimov.
Additionally, the Surxondaryo administration plans to establish a cluster for the production of reinforced concrete products alongside the development of tourism. This enterprise will be located in the former Surxan combine buildings and is expected to be put up for sale through an auction in the near future.
These initiatives will serve to further strengthen the region's economy.
