According to the press service of the Tashkent Airport headquarters, an attempt to illegally import potent drugs was prevented. This was reported by Upl.uz.
A special rapid operation was conducted jointly by the Tashkent Airport anti-contraband department employees and the customs post staff of the Electronic Commerce Foreign Economic Activity. During this operation, a person attempting to illegally bring potent drugs into the territory of Uzbekistan was identified and measures were taken against them.
It was revealed that a resident of Yunusabad district, Tashkent city, ordered a total of 112 units of the potent drug "Pregabalin Sandoz" inside 16 packages of convallaria via mail. This person was detained upon receiving the international postal shipment.
Currently, an investigation is underway regarding this case. Criminal liability may be applied to this individual.
The illegal importation of medicines into the territory of Uzbekistan is strictly prohibited, and such cases are under strict control.
