
At the beginning of 2025, the main fund of Uzbekistan's museums holds more than 2.7 million exhibits in total. This was reported by Upl.uz.
This information is based on data from the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Compared to last year, the number of exhibits increased by 129,200 units, representing a growth rate of 5 percent.
The leading city in terms of exhibits is the capital, Tashkent, where more than 1.2 million museum items are preserved. Following Tashkent are Samarkand region (239,650 exhibits), Karakalpakstan (197,506), and Surxondaryo region (178,080).
In Fergana region, 161,403 exhibits are collected, while the remaining regions have a total of 703,441 exhibits. The increase in the number of exhibits is the result of ongoing efforts aimed at preserving Uzbekistan's rich cultural and historical heritage and introducing it to the wider public.
