In Namangan region, a Migration Agency employee was caught while receiving 41 thousand US dollars. He took the money in exchange for sending people to work in South Korea.
At the same time, it was revealed that his accomplice in the crime was another employee. The accomplice was detained while receiving 15 thousand dollars.
It has been reported that during 2024, these criminals gained the trust of 80 citizens and took more than 700 thousand dollars in total. They did not fulfill their promise to send them to work.
On this matter, a criminal case has been opened under the articles "Fraud" and "Complicity in Bribery" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The Migration Agency commented on this situation, announcing that due to the illegal actions of some employees, the personnel responsible for official dispatch to South Korea have been completely renewed.
Additionally, changes have been made to the staff working at the representative office in Seoul. The agency strongly condemns the actions of employees who are not loyal to their profession and who have abused the trust of citizens.
This incident has damaged the reputation of the state migration system. Therefore, the activities of all responsible employees will be ensured to be more transparent and lawful.
