
As a result of an investigation conducted by internal affairs officers, it was revealed that a high-ranking official of the Andijan Regional Ecology Department and the deputy governor of Jalolquduq district were accomplices in a crime. This was reported by Upl.uz.
They demanded the re-registration of 10 sotik of land from the head of a farm located in Khonobod city. In return, they promised the farm head not to collect the identified damage amounting to 4.1 billion soums and not to apply a penalty increased tenfold.
Additionally, they promised to assist in the administrative judiciary process at the Andijan inter-district administrative court. Regarding this case, the deputy governor’s brother was detained while receiving cadastral documents from the farm head.
He attempted to submit these documents to a notary for re-registration in his wife’s name. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Article “Bribery.”
The criminals may face imprisonment from five to ten years.
