
Officers of the State Security Service and internal affairs bodies, in cooperation, detained an active participant of a criminal group involved in drug trafficking, and a criminal case was initiated against him. This was reported by Upl.uz.
A person born in 2002, living in the Qibray district of Tashkent region, and a third-year student at one of the capital's higher education institutions, was taken under control. This individual, on the orders of the criminal group, was driving a "Spark" vehicle heading towards the Tashkent district.
There, he was caught extracting 4.3 kilograms of the synthetic substance "alpha-PVP" hidden by a drug courier. A criminal case was opened under Article 273, Part 5 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding this incident.
This article covers crimes related to the illegal production, purchase, storage, and other actions involving narcotic substances, as well as their sale. Persons involved in such crimes may face imprisonment for up to 20 years.
Necessary measures are being taken by the services to dismantle the criminal group's activities and prevent drug trafficking.
