An important phase of reconstruction works on Shota Rustaveli Street is coming to an end. This was reported by Upl.uz.
The press service of the capital city administration provided information about the reconstruction process on the street. Within the framework of extensive repairs and reconstruction, one of the main stages of road construction on Shota Rustaveli Street is being completed.
The first asphalt-concrete layer has been fully laid between Oibek metro station and the “Bratskiye mogily” memorial. The first layer is undergoing natural technical and physical processes, including compaction, shrinkage, and other processes that ensure the road's durability and long lifespan.
After these processes are completed, the second asphalt layer will be laid. Until September 10, vehicle traffic will remain open on the first layer.
Additional announcements about the road opening will be made through official sources. Also, the installation of traffic light complexes with a new intelligent system is reaching its final stage.
Utility services are carrying out necessary works simultaneously to prevent the need for road repairs again. Contracted organizations continue their work in this area.
Furthermore, active work is underway on the new road section from the “Bratskiye mogily” memorial towards the “Uzgarish” bridge. Drainage systems are being constructed here, water flow channels are being laid, curbs are being replaced, a bicycle lane is being established, a separate lane for public transport is being organized, and other necessary works are being carried out.
