According to information obtained from the press service of the Andijan Regional Department of Internal Affairs, a comment was made regarding the message circulated on social networks. This was reported by Upl.uz.
On August 18, 2024, at approximately 00:05, a quarrel occurred between a citizen born in 1987 living in the "Taraqqiyot" neighborhood of Izboskan district and a citizen born in 1990 living in the "Mirzo Ulug‘bek" neighborhood due to a long-standing personal enmity. During this quarrel, the citizen born in 1987 struck the second participant on various parts of the body with his hands and feet, causing severe bodily injuries.
The injured person was taken to an emergency medical facility unconscious and, despite the medical assistance provided, died. A criminal case was initiated under Article 104, Part 2 — "Intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding this incident.
The suspect may face a sentence of imprisonment from 5 to 8 years. Investigation actions are currently ongoing.
