According to Axror Burxonov, the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a joint operation to apprehend criminals in Turkey has been successfully completed. This was reported by Upl.uz.
As a result of cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan and law enforcement agencies in Turkey, three Uzbek citizens suspected of fraud were arrested in Istanbul. These individuals include G‘anijon Arabov (born in 1982, Bukhara region), Shohista Boboyusupova (born in 1992, Samarkand region), and Gulzoda Mukimova (born in 1970, Navoi region).
Citizens who have suffered from the illegal actions of these individuals can contact the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan or its regional divisions, as well as the Uzbek Consulate General in Istanbul. The Ministry emphasizes that criminals cannot avoid criminal liability even if they flee abroad, particularly to Turkey.
The principle of enforcing punishment is strictly applied to all criminals. The Uzbek Consulate General in Turkey has recently noted an increase in fraud cases.
Our compatriots living abroad are attempting to obtain other citizens’ money through various pretexts by deception. The Consulate urges our citizens to approach any suspicious offers with caution and not to trust even proposals coming from acquaintances.
It is necessary not to entrust your money and personal information to strangers. Caution and vigilance must always be a priority.
