
According to the press service of the Uzbekistan Energy Inspection, illegal electricity consumption has been detected. This was reported by Upl.uz.
Control measures were carried out by employees of the regional department of the Energy Inspection of Tashkent region. During the measures, it was found that the equipment of a textile workshop owned by individual entrepreneur X.
M. operating in Yangiyul district was connected to the electrical network without permission. It is reported that connecting various production equipment and using electricity for commercial purposes is only allowed if a relevant contract is concluded with the electricity supply organization.
In other cases, electricity consumption is considered illegal. According to preliminary calculations, the total damage caused amounts to 3 billion 78 million soums.
All collected materials regarding this case have been sent to the investigative authorities, and an initial investigation is planned. The offender may face up to 15 years of imprisonment under Article 166, Part Four of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
