
Illegal import of gold jewelry was prevented in Andijan region, reports the press service of the Andijan regional customs department. This was reported by Upl.uz.
A citizen attempting to conceal various new gold jewelry items from customs control was stopped by officers at the “Khanabad” border customs post located on the border between Andijan region and Kyrgyzstan. It was found that the woman was wearing a total of 104.31 grams of new gold jewelry on her body, including her neck and hands.
She tried to hide these items from customs officers using this method. However, her plan did not succeed and the individual was taken to the personal inspection room.
Relevant documents were drawn up regarding this incident. All confiscated gold jewelry is being kept as material evidence.
The total value of the gold items exceeds 100 million soums. Currently, an investigation is underway regarding this case.
