
According to the press service of the Namangan Regional Department of Internal Affairs, a person possessing narcotic substances was detained. This was reported by Upl.uz.
At a permanent DPS post located in the Kushminor neighborhood of Pap district in Namangan region, a Lacetti vehicle was stopped and its driver was inspected by the officers. The person driving the vehicle is a man born in 1989, residing in Furqat district of Fergana region, who was heading to Tashkent city.
During the personal inspection of the driver and the search inside the vehicle, 0.23 grams of hashish and 1.36 grams of marijuana were found and confiscated. The detected and confiscated narcotic substances were added as evidence to the criminal case materials.
A criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on “Illegal production, purchase, storage, and other actions with narcotic substances, not for the purpose of sale.” For this crime, the accused may face a penalty of up to three years of imprisonment.
