
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, several cases related to bribery have been identified. This was reported by Upl.uz.
In Tashkent city, when a road patrol officer tried to stop a vehicle of the "Onix" model, the driver attempted to flee without complying with legal requirements. Later, the officer stopped him, took appropriate measures, and placed the vehicle in the impound lot.
However, the driver did not stop and offered a bribe to retrieve his vehicle from the impound lot. At that moment, he was caught giving a bribe of 500 US dollars.
Also, in the Quva district of Fergana region, the driver of a "Nexia-3" vehicle, under the influence of alcohol, gave a bribe of 1000 US dollars to a preventive inspector while driving. In another case, in the Baghdad district, a driver of a "Damas" vehicle, who was intoxicated, offered 800 US dollars to a road patrol officer.
In the Bandixon district of Surkhandarya region, a drunk driver operating a "Labo" vehicle was identified. Relevant documents were drawn up against him, and the vehicle was taken to the impound lot.
Later, he offered a bribe of 3 million soms to the road patrol officer to cancel the fine protocol and assist in retrieving the vehicle and was caught while giving the bribe. Criminal cases have been initiated under the "Bribery" article of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan for all these incidents.
Currently, the investigation is ongoing.
