The press service of the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office reports that a person selling drugs containing banned substances was detained at a store located in the Uchtepa district of Tashkent city. This was reported by Upl.uz.
Regarding this incident, employees of the Department's Uchtepa district division and representatives of law enforcement agencies jointly conducted a special rapid operation. During the operation, it was confirmed that drugs containing banned substances were being stored in the store.
In total, 2,835 weight loss preparations were found, which contained potent substances prohibited for free circulation within the territory of Uzbekistan. All identified products were officially confiscated as evidence.
On this matter, a criminal case was initiated under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, under the article “Production, distribution, advertising, demonstration of products related to potent, non-narcotic substances, their analogues or psychotropic substances, or illegal circulation of such substances.” Investigation actions are currently underway.
