A traffic accident involving several vehicles occurred on the Tashkent–Osh international highway. The incident happened on September 7 at approximately 12:20.
According to information obtained from the internal affairs authorities, a Shacman truck carrying cement, driven by a 44-year-old driver, lost control and collided with two trucks stopped at a railway crossing and five passenger cars. As a result of the impact, a fire broke out but was quickly extinguished by emergency services that arrived at the scene.
The internal affairs authorities reported the number of fatalities and injuries. Seven people died at the scene of the accident.
Five people were hospitalized, and another four participants received medical assistance and were sent home. Currently, the government has formed a commission to investigate the causes of the accident.
Deputy Prime Minister Achilbay Ramatov was appointed to lead the commission.
