An official statement regarding the collapse of the tower crane was released by the press service of the Committee on Industrial, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety. This was reported by Upl.uz.
On September 8 of this year, at approximately 16:10, an emergency occurred at the "Dumbirobod City" construction site located on Tirsakobod Street in the Chilonzor district of Tashkent city. The tower crane collapsed during the installation process.
According to preliminary information, since the crane was not securely anchored to the foundation, while moving to install subsequent parts, it bent and two support parts that were not anchored to the foundation fell to the ground. As a result of this incident, the crane operator inside the crane cabin died.
Additionally, two workers sustained various injuries and were hospitalized. The department of the Tashkent City Committee on Industrial, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety has formed an expert-technical commission to determine all details of the incident and its causes.
Currently, an investigation is underway. This incident once again emphasizes the importance of strict adherence to safety regulations in the construction sector.
