According to the press service of Uzenergoinspeksiya, an illegal consumption of natural gas for commercial purposes was detected at a candy manufacturing factory located in the Samarkand region. This was reported by Upl.uz.
During inspection activities conducted by employees of the Uzenergoinspeksiya department of Samarkand region, it was found that all equipment in this factory in Pastdargom district was connected to the gas supply without authorization. This situation caused a large amount of illegal use of natural gas.
According to preliminary calculations by specialists, the damage caused to the gas supply company amounts to a total of 609.7 million soums. Relevant documents have been prepared regarding this case and sent to the investigative authorities.
A criminal case may be initiated, and the entrepreneur may face up to 15 years of imprisonment under Article 169, Part Four of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This incident is of significant importance in ensuring the rule of law and controlling the lawful use of natural resources.
