From January to April 2025, the number of foreign citizens arriving in Uzbekistan for tourism purposes reached 3.1 million. This was reported by Upl.uz.
This information was provided based on data from the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Compared to the same period last year, the number of tourists increased by 987.9 thousand or 46.4 percent.
This indicator demonstrates the growing tourism potential of our country. Tourists mainly come from the following countries: 942.2 thousand from Kyrgyzstan, 793.9 thousand from Tajikistan, 617.2 thousand from Kazakhstan, 240.1 thousand from Russia, 156.6 thousand from Afghanistan, 109.6 thousand from Turkmenistan, 49.4 thousand from Turkey, 38.1 thousand from China, 22.6 thousand from India, and 11.1 thousand from Italy.
Additionally, the number of tourists from other countries stands at 136.8 thousand. These figures indicate that Uzbekistan's position in international tourism is strengthening.
