
The press service of the Department under the Prosecutor General's Office reports that cases of electricity theft have been identified in the Andijan, Fergana, and Samarkand regions. This was reported by Upl.uz.
During the initial inspection conducted by the Department staff in the Andijan district, it was found that the limited liability company "A.T." had illegally connected its production workshop to the electricity network and used electricity for commercial purposes. As a result of this case, a total damage of 361.1 million soums was caused.
Additionally, in the Uzbekistan district of Fergana region, it was discovered that the head of the farm "B.A." had illegally connected an electric water pump, resulting in the theft of electricity worth 150.6 million soums. In the Tayloq district of Samarkand region, the head of the farm "Z.V." illegally connected water pumps to the electricity network, causing damage of 103.8 million soums.
Criminal cases have been initiated based on the article "Theft" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding these incidents. Investigative actions are ongoing.
These cases once again highlight the necessity to combat the illegal use of electricity and damage to state property.
